"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education" - Martin Luther King, Jr.

The mission of The EIMASE School is reflected in our name - Excellence in Math and Science Education. EIMASE is specifically aimed at the student wanting to go into STEM careers. It can be difficult for a parent to teach a technically minded student if they are not themselves engaged in technology. EIMASE is aimed at that specific gap. We do not teach a full range of topics, we concentrate on the technological: Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. These three subjects are the core of all STEM careers.

Teaching Philosophy

EIMASE believes that it is bad to teach to a test. Over the course of many years, we have run into individuals who are highly credentialed with diplomas, certifications, and degrees - yet lack much of the deep knowledge of their field. They fall short of their potential because they were never taught the 'why' - just the 'how'.

We strive to prevent that here - our teaching is designed to impart the deep knowledge that is so often missing, we do so by not teaching to any test or certification. Instead, we teach the real deep knowledge, we add the logic, and finally push solution synthesis. This is the classical method and it can be wrapped around the concepts of any subject we teach. This produces a student who can pass the tests - because they have real and deep knowledge of the subject. But they can also function very highly in that field, much more so than those who simply have 'test passing' knowledge.
